Institution Receives Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award

Director Issues Letter to Bureau Volunteers

(BOP) - The American Psychological Association recently honored FDC Honolulu with one of only four 2018 Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards. The institution was nominated by the Hawaii State Psychological Association in the Government/Military/Educational Institution Category.

FDC Honolulu was honored for its efforts to foster employee health and well-being while enhancing organizational performance through the promotion of work-life balance and offering stress reduction strategies.

The honor also recognized other agency practices such as the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and opportunities for employee engagement such as the Ideas for Dollars Program. Reentry Services Division Assistant Director Hugh Hurwitz accepted the award on behalf of FDC Honolulu at a ceremony in Washington, DC on March 22, 2018.
