(BOP) - The Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) in Hazelton, West Virginia will hold a job fair from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. today, December 18, 2018, for those interested in working as a correctional officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). This is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government and to have a meaningful career in public service with an agency that values a diverse workforce.

The job fair will be at the FCC Hazelton Training Center, 1640 Skyview Drive, Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. Applicants should bring a resume and a valid ID. Veterans are encouraged to attend and should bring a copy of their DD-214. Information will be available on application procedures. Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination and background investigation. Those hired must successfully complete "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" in Glynco, Georgia.
