(BOP) - The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Big Spring, Texas will hold a job fair from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. on February 6, 2019, for those interested in working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). This is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government and to have a meaningful career in public service with an agency that values a diverse workforce.
The job fair will be at the FCI Big Spring Camp Visitation Room (Turn right off Simler Avenue onto Avenue B and then turn right into the second parking lot). Applicants should bring a resume and a valid ID. Veterans are encouraged to attend and should bring a copy of their DD-214. Information will be available on application procedures. Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination, and background investigation. Those hired must successfully complete "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" in Glynco, Georgia.
