(BOP) - The Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) in Florence, CO, is seeking individuals interested in working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). This is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government and to have a meaningful career in public service with an agency that values a diverse workforce.
A Career Fair, with special emphasis on Correctional Officers* and a variety of medical and food service positions, is scheduled for Thursday, May 30 through Saturday, June 1, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., at the FCC Florence Training Center, 5880 Highway 67 South, Florence, CO 81226. Interested applicants should bring a resume and two forms of identification. Veterans should also bring a DD-214.
Please note: Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. citizenship is also required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination and background investigation. Additionally, those hired must successfully complete "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" in Glynco, Georgia.
