(BOP) - The Federal Correctional Institution in Waseca, MN, is currently seeking individuals interested in working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). This is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government and to have a meaningful career in public service with an agency that values a diverse workforce.
A Career Fair, with special emphasis on Correctional Officers and medical staff, is scheduled for Tuesday, June 25, from 12 noon - 4:00 p.m. at the Blue Earth County Library, 100 East Main Street, Mankato, MN 56001. Interested applicants should bring a resume and two forms of identification. Veterans should also bring a DD-214 and VA Disability Certificate (if applicable). FCI Waseca staff will be available for questions.
Please note: Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. Citizenship is also required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination and background investigation. Additionally, those hired must successfully complete "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" in Glynco, Georgia.
