The Bureau of Prisons is Hiring in the South Central Region!

(BOP) - The Federal Bureau of Prisons South Central Region is currently seeking individuals interested in having a meaningful career in public service with an agency that values a diverse workforce. This is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government.

A Career Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Alamo Colleges District Workforce Center for Excellence 203 Norton Street, San Antonio, Texas 78211. Interested applicants should bring a resume, two forms of identification and transcripts. Veterans should also bring a DD-214 and VA Disability Certificate (if applicable).

Please note: Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. Citizenship is also required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination and background investigation. Additionally, those hired must successfully complete "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" in Glynco, Georgia.
