He is recognized as a leader both inside and outside the agency, representing the Bureau's Pharmacy program with many external stakeholders and partnerships. The Bureau, under Captain Crockett's oversight, generated another $2.5 million in cost avoidance during FY-18 through a joint strategic pricing initiative with the Departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs, and Health and Human Services.
The Cubby Dorsey Award for Outstanding Service by a Federal Wage Grade System Employee recognizes extraordinary performance and contributions by wage grade system employees, including laborers, mechanics, and skilled craft workers.
Award Winner:
William A. Mosley
Electrical Worker Supervisor
Facility:
FCI Marianna (FL)
Mr. Mosley, the Electrical Worker Supervisor at FCI Marianna, was a critical member of the emergency response team responsible for providing emergency power to FCI Bennettsville following Hurricane Florence in September of 2018. Mr. Mosley volunteered for a 10-day temporary duty assignment at FCI Bennettsville to support the Facilities Department in getting the on-site stationary emergency generators back online as quickly as possible following the power failure caused by the hurricane.
The following month, FCI Marianna received severe damage from Hurricane Michael. In the days and weeks that followed, Mr. Mosley worked diligently with the local electric company to ensure the institution received priority status for repaired electrical service. He also assisted with troubleshooting problems experienced with the power generator at FCI Marianna's Satellite Camp. Once all electrical areas of the institution were back online, Mr. Mosley initiated service for all of the institution's generators in an effort to extend the life of these major assets and better ensure they would be ready for immediate use the next time they were needed.
