Randall C. Burleson
Randall C. Burleson is the Acting Assistant Director of the Administration Division. Mr. Burleson began his career in contracting in 1993, over thirty years ago, initially working for his family-owned business, Datatrac Information Services, Inc. He went on to work for some of the Nation's largest defense contractors, a Federally Funded Research and Development Center, and various Federal government agencies. Mr. Burleson served as both Contracting Officer and Component Acquisition Executive for Health Affairs in the Department of Homeland Security; Chief of Contracting and General Services at the Department of Interior; Director of IT Acquisition Operations at the General Services Administration; Senior Advisor to the Chief Procurement Officer for the Department of the Treasury, and Chief Procurement Officer for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. In 2023, he joined the Federal Bureau of Prisons as Senior Deputy Assistant Director/Procurement Executive in the Administration Division, Central Office (DC).
Following AD Lisa Ward's retirement in May 2023, Mr. Burleson was selected to assume the role of Acting Assistant Director for the Administration Division. In this acting role as the Bureau's Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Burleson will direct and oversee all critical financial and program functions in the following areas: budget development and execution, finance, procurement and property, the Inmate Trust Fund program, facilities management, and construction, including environmental review.
Randall Burleson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Arlington (TX). From 2015-2022, Mr. Burleson served as a sworn Deputy Sheriff with the Warren County Sheriff's Office (VA) and a Special Operations Team Leader. He has been a member of the Senior Executive Service since 2022.
